Matthew Shirvell
Matt joins Milford Chess Academy with over 6+ years of coaching experience. He graduated from UCONN with a double major in Math and English from UCONN. Matt was honored with coach of the year in 2020 as well as placed 5th at the 48th Continental Open, and 3rd at the 25th Bradley Open. Current USCF rating: 1806!

K-12 Group Classes
K-12 Youth Group Class: Classes are held on Saturday's between 11a-12p. Designed for players who are under 18 and will include theory and tactics as well as beginner-intermediate friendly material (depending on the experience level of the group). National Chess Championship Trips
National Chess Championship Trips: Twice a year, we take group club members to national Chess Championships. These trips include coaching, a private room, game analysis, and game preparation.
